By merely knowing three facts about any given popularly discussed political issue you will find yourself the King or Queen of the room; in the realm of actual factual knowledge pertaining to said issue.  This will be the case an alarmingly large proportion of the time.

By speaking the language of evidence, as opposed to the language of ideologies or of feelings, you can corner others into either: submitting to the evidence and therefore behaving responsibly and conscientiously in regards to the public good; or flatly exposing themselves as doing precisely the opposite- and so doing with deliberate intent.

This seems the most likely path to winning the war for the public good, particularly for the least moneyed and most vulnerable, through non-violent means.  The shift of the focus of the general public from nonsense and pretense, into evidence, is the rudder that can steer our national ship back into the right direction.
